Larson FamilyOur adoption journey began about a decade ago. Well, that’s when the Lord first placed the desire to adopt on our hearts. Even though the desire was given to us all those years ago we really never felt that the timing was right. Knowing that God’s timing is perfect, we waited.

Waiting for God’s timing was definitely a challenge for us. Our hearts would break when we thought about all the orphans in the world who need someone to love and care for them. We have been especially drawn to those children who can be more difficult to find homes for… such as older children, sibling groups, and those who may have special needs. We longed to help address the incredible need by becoming a “forever family.” We struggled with the knowledge that so many innocent children were being neglected or exploited. We watched with joy as people around us were welcoming precious little ones into their hearts and their homes, all the while wishing it was the right time for us as well.

About a year and a half ago we felt God was telling us it was time to start the adoption process. While we were so excited to finally feel like we had a “green light,” we also felt a little apprehensive about the cost. After all, in all those years our little family of four had grown to a not so little family of six. Our house, on the other hand had not grown. It mysteriously seemed to have shrunk! It took seven long months to sell our house and buy one that was a little bigger, with room to grow our family.

Larson FamilyWe have been so amazed and blessed by the grant we received from isupportadoptions.org. It served as a great confirmation that we are on the path that the Lord as planned for us. The grant was also a reminder that God has been faithful to provide for our every need so far on this journey, and we know that through the generosity of people like you He will continue to do so.

We are all so excited to meet the child, or children, that God has for our family. Thank you so much for partnering with our family in bringing them home!
