Every three minutes a child dies from AIDS somewhere in the world and only 12 percent of them receive any kind of support.    

Globally, 18,000 children die every day from hunger and malnutrition.  That is 12.5 children every minute.  

The International Labor Organization estimates that there are 20.9 million people trapped in forced labor, human trafficking and sexual exploitation worldwide.  This figure means that around three out of every 1,000 persons are suffering in forced labor (as of June, 2012).  

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children estimated that one in six endangered runaways reported to them were likely sex trafficking victims (as of 2014).    

There are roughly 415,000 children in the United States foster care system.  Of that number, approximately 100,000 are waiting to be adopted (as of July, 2015).
